The DTX6 is built to provide a long service life with the proper care. Our towel is built to withstand standard use and cleaning, such as washing and tumble drying on low heat.
Cold Dyeing Process- The number one cause of drying towel failure is exposure to heat. The standard fabric dyeing process exposes the microfiber to intense heat. This closes off the the fibers ability to absorb water and will significantly shorten the life of the towel. Traditional dying processes will not allow the fibers to hold the color, causing significant fading and leaving the surface you are drying with rainbow streaking after the towel crosses the surface. Towels dyed in the traditional method generally have another chemical applied to make them soft again. The cold dyeing process we use prevents all of these things, and after the excess ink is washed away after the first wash, the color and durability of the DTX6 will remain intact. In addition to cold dyeing, we use top of the industry standard dye, which will not chemically damage the microfiber and provide lasting color and anti-fading properties.
